Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This policy explains what personal data TROODON YAZILIM TEKNOLOJI REKLAM HIZMETLERI SANAYI VE TICARET LTD. ŞTİ. (“Troodon Studio”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Türkiye, processes when you use the iFax mobile app and related websites (the “Service”), why we process it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We are the controller of this data.

2. Data we collect

You don’t need to give us your name, email address or a password to use the app. When you first open it, we create an anonymous account tied to your installation. We then process:

• Fax content. The documents, photos and scans you send, the cover page details you type, and the faxes you receive on your fax number.
• Fax details. Recipient and sender fax numbers, page counts, timestamps and delivery status.
• Your fax number. The number assigned to your account and its area code.
• Purchase information. Your subscription plan, status and renewal dates. Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your card or bank details.
• Device and usage data. App version, device model, operating system, language, a push notification token, in-app events (for example, “fax sent”) and crash reports.
• Advertising identifier. Only if you allow tracking when iOS asks. It is used to measure which ads led to app installs.
• Support messages. Your email address and what you write when you contact us.

Contacts you pick to fill in a fax number stay on your device. We only receive the number you send to.

3. How we use your data

• To send your faxes, receive faxes on your number and show you their status (performing our contract with you).
• To manage your subscription and unlock paid features (contract).
• To notify you when a fax is delivered or received, if you allow notifications (consent).
• To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse such as junk faxing, and fix crashes (legitimate interests).
• To understand how the app is used and improve it (legitimate interests).
• To measure our advertising, if you allow tracking (consent).
• To answer your support requests and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we never use the content of your faxes for advertising.

4. Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that protect it:

• Fax network provider (iFax): transmits and receives your faxes over the phone network.
• Hosting and storage (Vercel, Supabase): run our servers and database and hold files.
• Subscriptions (Apple, RevenueCat): process purchases and confirm subscription status.
• Google Firebase: analytics, crash reporting and push notifications.
• AppsFlyer: install attribution, using the advertising identifier only if you allowed tracking.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

5. How long we keep data

• Documents you upload for sending are deleted from our storage within 24 hours.
• Temporary copies made to show you a fax are deleted within 1 hour.
• Your fax history, your fax number and the faxes you received stay in your account until you delete the account.
• Analytics and crash data are kept for up to 14 months.
• We may keep limited records longer if the law requires it, for example for tax or disputes.

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Info › Delete account. This releases your fax number and permanently deletes your fax history, received faxes and files. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel that in your Apple ID settings.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time. These include your rights under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, in the EEA and UK, the GDPR. To use these rights, email info@troodon.studio. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

You control notifications and tracking in your device settings. Turning them off doesn’t affect sending or receiving faxes.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is limited to what is needed to run the Service, and download links for faxes expire after a few minutes. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t fax anything you aren’t comfortable sending over the phone network.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country and outside Türkiye, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the transfer mechanisms of the KVKK.

9. Children

The Service is not meant for children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and UK. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us and we will delete the data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the changes are significant.
